Platform status

QuantGrid runs during market hours, by design

This page is the published schedule and the answer to the question people actually arrive with: is it down, or is it broken? Most of the time it is neither. The platform is switched off outside the hours below, on purpose, and it comes back the next trading morning.

Scheduled hours
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST
Trading days
NSE and BSE, Monday to Friday
Uptime commitment
99.9% during NSE and BSE market hours

This is a written schedule, not a live monitor. It does not poll the platform, so it will not tell you about an unplanned outage happening right now. Those are emailed to registered customers.

The schedule

When the platform is up, and when it is not

QuantGrid runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST on NSE and BSE trading days. Outside those hours, and at weekends and exchange holidays, the platform is taken offline for maintenance and to keep running costs down.

Scheduled availability of the QuantGrid platform, by day and time
WhenScheduled stateDetail
NSE and BSE trading daysUpThe platform runs the full 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST window, which opens before the market does and closes after it.
Outside those hours, on a trading dayOfflineTaken down as scheduled, for maintenance and to keep running costs down. It returns the next trading morning.
Saturdays and SundaysOfflineThe exchanges are closed, so there is nothing to replicate. No weekend window is planned.
Exchange holidaysOfflineThe platform follows the NSE and BSE trading calendar. A holiday is treated exactly like a weekend.

When it comes back: the next NSE and BSE trading day, for the usual 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST. Not on a Saturday, not on a Sunday and not on an exchange holiday. If you are reading this on a Friday evening, the platform is next up on Monday morning unless Monday is a holiday.

An order placed while the platform is offline is never replicated

Place your orders while the platform is up. An order placed on the master account outside the hours above, including an after-market (AMO) order, is not replicated at all: it is already on the order book by the time the engine starts, so it is treated as history rather than as a new order, and a later fill on it does not replicate either.

The reason is worth understanding, because it is not a bug and it will not be fixed by waiting. When the engine starts, it reads the master account order book and records everything already on it as seen, so that starting up does not mirror a whole trading day of history into your linked accounts. An order you placed overnight is on that book by the time the engine starts, so it is history as far as the engine is concerned, and a fill on it later in the day does not change that.

The practical rule is short: place orders you want replicated while the platform is up. After-market orders placed in the evening are the case this catches most often.

Uptime

What we commit to, and over which hours

We commit to 99.9% uptime during NSE and BSE market hours. The scope is deliberate: measuring uptime across a whole calendar month would be claiming credit for hours the platform is intentionally switched off, which would make the number meaningless.

What the commitment covers

Our own platform being available and replicating during NSE and BSE market hours. A sustained failure at our end during market hours is a service failure, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy sets out the remedy, an extension of the affected address’s paid period or a an adjustment to your wallet balance, and how to claim it.

What it does not cover

Scheduled hours outside the window, your broker’s API, an exchange halt, a daily broker token you did not re-authorise, a change you made to your own configuration, and the network between you and us. Those causes are set out in full on the disclaimer.

Inside the window

It is a trading day, the platform is up, and something is not working

Four things account for almost every report we receive. Work through them in this order before you write to us, and bring what you found when you do.

Check the clock first

The most common answer is the simplest one. Outside 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST on a trading day, the platform is down as scheduled and nothing is wrong.

Check your broker session

Most broker access tokens expire daily. When yours has expired, replication on that account stops until you re-authorise from the dashboard. This is a broker rule, not a fault at our end.

Check the IP whitelist

Each broker account needs its dedicated static IP registered with that broker before orders will go through. That registration is yours to make, and it is the usual reason a new account is not placing orders.

Check the broker and the exchange

A broker API outage, an exchange halt or a rejection at the broker will stop orders while our platform is running normally. The trade log records the broker response we received, verbatim.

The trade log in your dashboard records every event received, every decision taken and every broker response, so it usually answers the question before we do. How the mechanism works end to end is on how it works, and what is delivered when you pay is on the service delivery policy.

Incidents and support

How you hear about an outage, and how you reach us

An unplanned outage during market hours is emailed to registered customers. We use email rather than a status widget because email reaches you where you already are, and because a light on a page nobody has open is not a notification.

Reach a person

Support hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST
Phone
Call us
Grievance Officer
Devansh Dalmia, grievance@quantgrid.in

Write to support with the broker account concerned, the approximate time, and the symbol and order if there is one. We match it against the audit trail, which is the same record you can read and export yourself, and we tell you what it shows even when the answer is that we were at fault.

Support runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST, so a message sent on a Saturday is answered on Monday. Anything formal, including a complaint about the service or a data request, goes to the Grievance Officer, who acknowledges within 48 hours and resolves within 15 days, as the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require of us.

If the outage cost you part of a paid period, the money side is in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which sets out the remedy for a service failure attributable to us, an extension of the affected address’s paid period or an adjustment to your wallet balance, and tells you how long you have to raise it. For anything else, use the contact form.
